Measuring your business. The Index and the Snapshot concern businesses and rely on publicly observable information: web pages, business listings, third-party sources and AI engine answers. We never ask for access to your accounts and we collect no information about your own clients.
4. Why we use it
- To produce and deliver the Snapshot, Index, Audit or Watch requested.
- To process your order, payment and billing.
- To schedule and hold the debrief meeting.
- To answer your questions.
- To present our services, within the limits set out in section 6.
- To improve the site and the method, using aggregated statistics.
We do not sell or rent your personal information. We do not use it to train artificial intelligence models.
5. Consent
By completing a form, you consent to the use of your information for the purposes stated on that form and in this policy. Any other use requires your new consent. You may withdraw your consent at any time by writing to pierre.dessureault@boutique-d.com. Withdrawal does not affect processing carried out before your request.
6. Published Snapshots and prospecting
Snapshot pages. A Snapshot may be published on a manningindex.com page reachable through a unique link. It presents information about the business measured, drawn from public sources. A business may ask at any time for its page to be corrected or removed.
Prospecting emails. We may write to professionals whose contact details are conspicuously published in a business context, when our message relates to their professional activities. Every email identifies us and offers a simple way to stop receiving them; unsubscribe requests are processed within 10 business days.
7. Service providers and communication outside Quebec
We entrust certain tasks to service providers who use your information only to provide that service to us: website and store hosting (Duda), online payment (Stripe), meeting booking, email and storage (Google Workspace), automation (Make) and email delivery (Instantly).
Some of these providers store data outside Quebec, notably in the United States. Before any communication outside Quebec, we assess whether the information will receive adequate protection there, and we govern that communication by contract.
We may also disclose information when required by law, or in the context of a sale or merger of the business, solely for the purposes of the transaction and under a confidentiality undertaking.
8. Cookies
The site uses cookies that are essential to its operation and to the shopping cart. Audience measurement cookies are enabled only with your consent, given through the banner shown on your first visit. You may change this choice at any time, or block cookies in your browser.
9. Retention
We keep your information for as long as necessary for the purposes for which it was collected. Accounting records are kept for six years, as required by tax laws. Once the purpose is fulfilled, the information is destroyed or anonymized.
10. Security
Access to information is limited to people who need it for their work. We use accounts protected by two-factor authentication and encrypted connections. In the event of a confidentiality incident presenting a risk of serious injury, we notify the Commission d'accès à l'information and the persons concerned.
11. Your rights
At any time, you may:
- access the information we hold about you;
- have it corrected if it is inaccurate or incomplete;
- withdraw your consent or ask that your information be deleted;
- ask that disseminated information be de-indexed;
- obtain your information in a structured, commonly used technological format.

12. Complaints
If you believe your information has not been handled in accordance with the law, please write to our person in charge first. You may also contact Quebec's Commission d'accès à l'information.
13. Links to other sites
Our site and our reports contain links to third-party sites, including the sources cited in our reports. We are not responsible for their content or practices; please consult their own policies.
